Joe Ansel
 

Formerly Exhibit Shop Manager and later an Assistant Director at San Francisco's Exploratorium, Joe Ansel led, and participated in, the invention, design and fabrication of over 125 new, interactive science exhibits from 1972 until 1992. His past work contributed substantially to the creation of the interactive exhibit genre itself. Joe's previous clients have included municipalities, science centers, design firms, corporations and two "think tanks." Joe currently leads Ansel Associates, Inc. in the creation of exhibitions for the new, major German science center, Phæno.

 

Milton McClaskey
 

Milton combines in-depth design and fabrication experience with formidable scheduling, cost estimating, budgeting and project management experience. As founder of his own firm, Watermark Exhibits, Milton supplied casework and exhibits to major clients such as the Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C. In 1994, Milton moved into exhibition design and project management for Academy Studios Inc., developing and building exhibitions for the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Washington State History Museum, The Smithsonian Institution, the Columbus Center and others. In 1997 Milton was hired by Gyroscope Inc, where he successfully managed the 5 million dollar budget for fabrication and installation of exhibits for Exploration Place, a dramatic new science center in Wichita, Kansas which opened in April 2000. Milton is now key to the design and fabrication effort for Phæno's exhibitions.

 

Todd Blair
 

Todd oversees the acquisition, design and fabrication of Phæno's interactive artworks, which combine art and scientific phenomena and promise to make Phæno special. Todd has served as Production Manager for numerous North American and European artists and avant-garde performance art groups as well as Program Director for "Rearview mirror to reality" as part of the 1996 Ars Electronica Festival in Linz Austria. His experience includes work in the exhibit services shop at the Exploratorium in San Francisco and he is currently an Adjunct Professor in media arts and technology at California College of the Arts. Todd's knowledge of the art scene and experience producing new and innovative art installations in combination with his experience fabricating science exhibits makes Todd uniquely qualified to supervise the production and integration of new interactive artworks in a science center setting.
