Fire Tornado, conceived and designed by Ned Kahn and built for phæno by Technorama of Winterthur Switzerland, produces a column of flame nearly 6 meters tall -- along with a great roar and a lot of heat!

Light Form, by the renowned Italian artist Pierro Fogliati, utilizes simple mechanical devices and hand made projectors to create wonderful and intriguing works.

Water Vortex   A spinning column of water makes an endlessly fascinating exhibit.

Slow Bubbles   Air bubbles slide gracefully upwards through a column of crystal clear silicone oil, larger bubbles overtaking and lanquidly consuming the smaller ones as they rise.

Matrix   For phæno, Gregory Barsamian has created new sculptural 'dream reality' -- sequentially formed sculptures presented on a spinning armature illuminated and animated with a synchronized strobe.

Free Radicals   A captivating, chaotic and completely engaging new artwork by New York artist Mary Ziegler.

Water Freezer   Watch as the air pressure drops to nearly zero and the water inside the chamber at this exhibit boils .... until it freezes!

Magma Chamber    Streams of air moving upwards through these illuminated glass columns filled with extremely tiny glass balls create ever changing and never repeating pathways and patterns in this new artwork by Sebastopol artist Ned Kahn.
